These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the YUMO application and related services (the "Service") provided by YUMO Ltd ("YUMO", "we", "our", or "us"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using YUMO, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of material changes through the app or via email.
2. The Service
YUMO is a comprehensive business management platform designed for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and small business owners. The Service includes, but is not limited to:
- Expense & income tracking — Record, categorise, and analyse all financial transactions.
- Invoicing — Create, send, and manage professional invoices.
- Inventory management — Track products, stock levels, and pricing.
- Budgets & goals — Set financial budgets and savings targets with progress tracking.
- AI-powered insights — Receive intelligent suggestions, summaries, and forecasts based on your financial data.
- Tax tools — Categorise expenses for tax purposes and generate tax-relevant reports.
- Reports & analytics — Generate detailed financial reports and visual dashboards.
- Task management — Organise business tasks and to-dos.
- Third-party integrations — Connect with Shopify, Stripe, eBay, and other platforms.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
3. Accounts
To use YUMO, you must create an account. By creating an account, you agree to the following:
- Age requirement — You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use the Service.
- Account security — You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
- One account per person — Each individual may only maintain one YUMO account. Creating multiple accounts is prohibited.
- Accurate information — You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account information up to date.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
YUMO offers the following tiers:
Free Tier
The free tier provides access to core features with usage limits (e.g., limited number of transactions, invoices, and inventory items per month). Free tier features and limits are subject to change.
Pro Tier
The Pro subscription unlocks all features with no usage limits. Pro is available at:
- Monthly: $3.99 per month
- Annual: $29.99 per year
Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled by the respective platform. All subscription prices are subject to change with notice.
Refunds
Refunds for Pro subscriptions are handled in accordance with the refund policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your platform. Please contact the respective store for refund requests.
5. Founding Members
The Founding Membership is a limited, one-time offer available to the first 100 members who purchase it.
- Price: One-time payment of £99 (GBP).
- Lifetime Pro access: Founding Members receive permanent access to all Pro features for the lifetime of the Service.
- Non-transferable: Founding Membership is tied to the individual account and cannot be transferred, sold, or shared.
- Additional perks: Founding Members receive a permanent badge on their profile, priority feature requests, early access to new features, and a direct communication channel with the founding team.
- Limited availability: Once 100 Founding Memberships have been sold, the offer closes permanently.
- Refund: Founding Members may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase. After 30 days, the purchase is non-refundable.
6. User Content & Data
You retain full ownership of all data, content, and information you enter into YUMO ("User Content"). We do not claim ownership of your data.
- No sale of data: We do not sell your personal or financial data to third parties. Ever.
- Service provision: You grant us a limited licence to use your data solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Anonymised data: We may use anonymised and aggregated data (which cannot identify you personally) to improve our AI models, analyse trends, and enhance the Service for all users.
- Data export: You may request an export of your data at any time by contacting us.
7. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use YUMO for any of the following purposes:
- Any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorised activity, including money laundering, tax evasion, or financial fraud.
- Automated access, scraping, or data extraction using bots, crawlers, or similar technologies without our written consent.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to derive the source code of the application.
- Interfering with or disrupting the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service.
- Impersonating another person or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Uploading or transmitting viruses, malware, or any harmful code.
- Circumventing any security measures, rate limits, or access restrictions.
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
8. AI Features
YUMO incorporates artificial intelligence features to provide financial insights, suggestions, summaries, and forecasts. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Not financial advice: AI-generated insights are informational suggestions only and do not constitute financial, legal, tax, or professional advice.
- No liability: YUMO and its team are not liable for any decisions you make based on AI-generated output. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.
- Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, AI outputs may contain errors, inaccuracies, or incomplete information. Always verify important data independently.
- Data processing: Financial data sent to AI services for processing is anonymised and stripped of personally identifiable information.
We strongly recommend consulting qualified professionals for significant financial, legal, or tax decisions.
9. Third-Party Integrations
YUMO offers integrations with third-party services including Shopify, Stripe, and eBay. By connecting these services:
- You authorise YUMO to access relevant data from those services (e.g., orders, transactions, products) as needed to provide sync functionality.
- Your use of third-party services remains governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
- YUMO is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of third-party services.
- You may disconnect any third-party integration at any time through your app settings.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- YUMO Ltd, its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
- Our total cumulative liability to you for any and all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you have paid to YUMO in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time if:
- You violate these Terms of Service.
- Your use of the Service poses a security risk or may cause harm to other users or the Service.
- We are required to do so by law.
- Your account has been inactive for an extended period.
You may delete your account at any time through our account deletion page. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed from our systems in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitation of liability, governing law, and dispute resolution) shall survive.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
